Designed from the bottom up to deliver the ultimate in fuel economy and comfort, the MC29 breaks new ground in every respect. Power can be provided by twin outboards or a single diesel stern drive. An amazingly smooth ride without pounding or slamming is delivered by the narrow and deep hulls combined with a full length center pod. The improved comfort compared to a monohull makes it possible to maintain a constant speed in rough conditions. Then entire cabin, deck and cockpit are one piece, unlike some competitors “pieced together” construction. Headroom in the main cabin is 6’-8”, ideal for tall people. Comfortable accommodation is provided for four persons. The generous cockpit allows boarding through transom gates on either side. The main bulkhead may be open or optionally solid with a door for colder climates. On the same level as the cockpit is a 4 person dinette, full galley and comfortable helm station. The forward cabin has a private head with shower and a large double berth. Generous storage areas are provided throughout. Most of today’s under 30’ power catamarans are designed for fishing, with only minimal thought given to a family or cruising couple’s needs. The MC29, built by European craftsmen, was designed in the Pacific Northwest for comfortable cruising in our sometimes rugged conditions. Its narrow beam of 8'6" is designed for trailerability, which is a bonus! |
