Designed for affordability and trailerability, the MacGregor 26 offers a lot of boat for the money.  The company's website advertises the MacGregor 26 at US$21,500 including Mainsail and trailer (without the outboard).  The MacGregor 26 is capable of going up to 22 mph under power, with a 60 HP outboard.   Built by the MacGregor Yachts, based in Costa Mesa, California, the factory has sold over 5,000 of this model.
