Octopus, the world's 6th largest super yacht is owned by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft.  Paul Allen is the third richest US citizen and could easily afford the price tag of $250 million US for Octopus with an annual maintenance cost of US$20 million.  The yacht has many additional accessories including 2 helicopters on the top deck, a swimming pool on deck, a 10-man submarine which can sleep 8 for a 2 week duration, a remote control vehicle for crawling the ocean floors, a 63 foot tender on the transom, and many many more......

Octopus Yacht is actively cruising worldwide, and has been spotted in Cannes (2011), Torshavn Faroe Islands Denmark, Reykjavik, Iceland (2010) San Juan, San Carlos, Mexico (2010) Florida (2009)  St. Lucia (2008), Shanghai (2007) Octopus is frequently seen en route and at ports in Barbados, Jamaica, Florida, Greece, Croatia, Norway, and Tahiti, making her popular among yacht spotters.

Paul Allen is known to entertain celebrities on his Octopus yacht every Cannes Festival. The latest 2011 event had Paul Allen playing guitar with his band, entertaining celebrities including Bar Refaeli, Jane Fonda, Jodie Foster, Paul Haggis and Ryan Gosling.  The party had a Brazilian theme where guests were offered caipirinhas and Brazilian food.

Octopus offers accommodation for up to 26 guests in 41 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 60 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Guests on his Octopus yacht includes Mick Jagger, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton as well as dignitaries. 

Octopus gained additional notoriety for its 2004/2005 New Years bash, in which Paul Allen welcomed the EU commissioner for Trade, Peter Mandelson, as well as celebrity entertainment Johnny Cash and Usher. Octopus has also entertained members of U2, Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, and clothing designer Diane von Furstenberg among other high profile and celebrity guests.

Octopus is one of three yachts owned by Paul Allen. Paul Allen is the co-Founder of Microsoft along with Bill Gates. Paul Allen also owns the mega yachts Tatoosh and Méduse.

TATOOSH — 302'8" is Paul Allen's second yacht which he used to entertain Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and family last May 2008 prior to the Cannes Film Festival.
