Hinckley is best known for its high quality sailboats built for the USA elites.  In 1990, Hinckley ventured into the powerboat market with its picnic boat concept in a 39-footer Talaria.   The design was quickly altered to add room to the cockpit and renamed the Talaria 42. Seventeen boats were built before production was ceased after 1998.  Talaria 44 (introduced in 1999) is an expansion of the original picnic boat concept.  Today, Hinckley builds powerboats from 29 to 55 feet and sailboats from 42 to 70 feet.

Hinckley is to the yacht industry the same way Rolls Royce is to the automobile industry and Louis Vitton is to the luggage industry.
