The inside passage encompasses a total of 25,000 coastal miles from Seattle to Skagway, includes over  1,000 islands and thousands of coves and bays.    It provides a 1,000 mile protected route between Puget Sound and the northern reaches of Southeast Alaska.

Every year, canoes, kayaks, sailboats, powerboats, ferries, luxury yachts, cruise ships from all over the world make the journey along the inside passage.  Groups and individuals paddle along the fjords of British Columbia all the way to Glacier Bay in Alaska.
