History:
Bill Dixon has been designing yachts for the last 27 years.  He was in his early twenties when he took over the yacht design office of Angus Primrose, after Primrose's untimely death.  Since then he has changed the name of Primrose Yacht Design to Dixon Yacht Design.  Many of Primrose's original clients stayed on to become clients of Dixon Yacht Design.

The company takes on diverse design projects ranging from 120 custom sailing yachts to 50 foot production motor yachts.
 



Notable production designs:
Angus Primrose designed many of Moody Yachts sailboats including the Moody 29, Moody 30, Moody 33, Moody 39.  Bill Dixon took over the design work for Moody Yachts and designed the Moody 27, Moody 28, Moody 336, Moody 35, Moody 36, Moody 38, Moody 41, Moody 46, Moody 47, Moody 54, Moody 64.   Moody Yachts has since been acquired by Hanse Yachts in 2007.

Moody Yachts has built a total of 4,500 sailboats in the last 30 years.
