Instructions for direct tracking Vic Maui Race
3 CommentsIt is very easy tracking the Vic Maui Race. Just follow the instructions step-by-step.
For those who are not comfortable with the computer, get a neighbour, friend, grandchild or ….. to help you navigate. Once you learn the trick, it will be so much fun. The tracking is updated every 3 hours.To track the entire fleet, go to:
http://trackinfo.fistracking.com/2010VM/1. Click boat selector to begin
2. Select the whole fleet or select only the boats you want to follow
3. click boat selector again
4. Go to the left menu, and click ZOOM IN – zoom in a few times till you see the right frame
5. you can point the cursor at the frame to drag, move left or right to the desired view.
6. Rest the cursor on each of the dot to get the details such as boat name, speed, GPS coordinates, time, etc.

“Once you learn the trick, it will be so much fun.” — No it’s not fun at all. It’s “updated every 3 hours” but it’s delayed 6 hours, yesterday it was frozen in one spot for most of the day… very frustrating

You are right. Sometimes the transponder is not working. It hasn’t been working for the boat “Kinetics”. Anyway, it is better than nothing. It was fun watching Terremoto zipping along like a roadrunner.
